Greek containership owner Costamare has confirmed a major newbuilding program in China. The deal with COSCO Shipping secures 16 vessels on long-term charters, locking in $2.8 billion of contracted revenue. At the core are 12 new 9,200 teu ships, scheduled for delivery between the third quarter of 2028 and beyond.
