China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has signed a contract to construct ten very large crude carriers (VLCCs). The agreement with Dalian Shipbuilding is valued at approximately CNY 8.566 billion ($1.185 billion). Delivery of the vessels is expected between 2028 and 2030, with each equipped with scrubbers and shaft generators.
