Lithuania is considering providing minesweeping support for a mission to protect shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The Chief of Defence announced plans to send up to 40 soldiers to assist the US in the region. The UK is also deploying a warship to the Middle East for a potential multinational effort to ensure maritime security.
