South Korea's Pan Ocean has confirmed the construction of two additional Newcastlemax bulk carriers at Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding. The Harim Group-controlled shipowner stated that the total cost for the new vessels will be about KRW 228 billion, or approximately $77 million each. This latest deal follows an initial order for two 211,000-ton vessels.
