DNV has completed a study commissioned by the European Maritime Safety Agency on the safety of hydrogen-fuelled vessels. The study concludes that a design-based approach to safety is necessary for hydrogen-fuelled ships. It also includes non-mandatory guidance recommending secondary enclosures for all hydrogen-carrying components.
